So this is gonna be Joker 2 but slightly more interesting and much more competently made?

They're very good imo. They're pretty religious in theme so if that's not your jam (or if you've distanced yourself from that stuff) it can lose some of the impact.

But a lot of the core stories are still really cool and fun. Each book has its strengths and weaknesses but they're also all different too so it's a pretty cool varied series that isn't retreading the same ground. Which is rare in a children's book series I think
