Also I do like them doing this episode earlier rather than later

Plenty of shows do the origin as like the penultimate or third to last episode so now at least while things build up we won’t have to have that extra wait

Least favorite part of the episode. Lindelof is not a master at racial topics especially black people.

Kinda heavy handed at points but I dont mind it, its bold for the medium to be blunt about it

I can see this dividing people — but when it was hitting it was really hitting.

Building up the lore of the corps and everything has been really really fun.

That show has HEAVY racial themes . Lindelof doesn’t shy away from touching on America’s history with racial issues

I respect it. it's just, like you said, quite heavy handed in a way that I don't think needs to be that heavy handed. almost like it's holding you hand.

either way, this was my favorite episode so far

Watching now but yeah he tends to be heavy handed sometimes. Watchmen finale this was my biggest issue. Then Lost ending as well it tried to give too much hand holding. Leftovers was the perfect balance.

  • I feel like this episode was essential to understanding john stewart and even how the ring selection process works so I'm really not understanding any of the negative opinions surrounding it. for me, someone who knows nothing about Green Lantern, I really appreciated this one.
