True detective a reasonable way to compare it in superhero sense. Its own thing. Dont go in setting the standard that high because while good some things flow better than others in this episode. its a Superhero , comic book show that at least so far while having those elements doesnt too much fall under comic book logic or the usual things we would critique and someone would say "its a comic book". It places itself in a reality similiar to ours and how they would deal with lantern existing. In a way some what that snyder promised but at times missed the mark on for me. Will it continue to hold this momentum who knows but its a great pilot not perfect but compared to most of the other superhero s*** we have been getting this is a blessing
