BlueDreamWait people were expecting an action packed ending
It never seemed like the show was building up to some batshit crazy finale imo.
This has always been spoken about as a slow burn detective showI mean yea that’s how they promoted it from the start,

This has always been spoken about as a slow burn detective showWhich is a great premise to draw people in with, and had a great setup in Episode 1, but if you’re gonna do that premise you ultimately have to deliver on a thrilling and satisfying mystery. This show never really had one

Oct 5earthwalkaHow the hell did John do anything to prove himself to be ready to be a lantern? He ain’t done anything cool the whole show. And he got kicked and punched by a 17 year old. And he got pressed for 300 grand by a waitress.
I've been hoping this would come up in story since Ep 3. Imo he did not deserve to be one with the process manipulation that went into his childhood. Then when they instruct him to take it he doesn't lol
Not sure what would have changed 10 years removed from training with Hal or speaking to a Guardian. He didn't even make his vow to the GL Corps in the end so i guess he just decided to be his own Lantern. He has unique attributes I guess

I felt like the mystery was a bit undercooked. Probably needed like an episode or 2 more

Yea I guess this show was fine. Some good moments in there for sure but overall I wasn’t really ever wowed by anything. It was just something to watch really. Really liked Kyle Chandler in this though. Soooo good, so charismatic, so fun to watch. Aaron Pierre I enjoyed too but just not to the same level. Probably more to do with his character than him as an actor.

Again, as its own thing I think it’s great
I am not a comic book nerd and this isnt watchmen level for me but its a solid outing its not terrible. Still a bounce back from supergirl where I was worried for future. But the people involved in this are solely on this
