YANDHIThey're usually androids that were precursors to the Green Lantern Corps that do the Guardians bidding before it went very south and they wanted them all gone. Here, they're like synthetic beings that can take the form of the planets species. Imo this show hasn't done a great job at explaining and it doesn't help they're just human looking the entire time
