If there is going to be a season two and both Kyle and Aaron comes back there needs to be a budget upgrade. Last night episode was rough. Let them have 1 dragon budget from HOTD.

s*** was BORING

I am not going to be the one to s*** on the party but something feels missing about this entire show for me and it isnt wanting more action and special effects something soul wise

I part 2 isnt even confirmed so I am just mixed. Either way good introduction to John Stewart

Show is good but I feel that it’s lost some momentum in the past few episodes

Also 8 episodes was way too short for the story they were trying to tell here

everyone's talking about a Season 2 being essentially guaranteed as if Paramount didn't just buy and acquire Warner Bros putting any project they have on thin ice lol

But to me its missing something other than high budget or action. Like I need to rewatch from the beginning but its a bit disjiointed in messaging. In plot. In villains I care about their reasoning enough . In world building. It feels like its trying to do so much but not landing on a lot of it for me. It has hyped up this WHO KILLED HAL while at the point I am at I dont care who that is as much as it wants me to. Especially because I am still seeing him in each episode so its not even like he is fully gone to me. Then combine that with a hologram of him. Which is some of the same things I mentioned when Man of Steel did it of "your dad dead " but here goes a hologram and flashbacks. So I dont even fully feel the grief. Its hard to explain or describe but again something feels empty in this show and I love lindelof even though he is just one piece and its mundy and king too. I know the black culture parts are likely more lindelof and I appreciate those at least. But he gone for season 2 so wish i would more feel his imprint on this season.

this show 100% not making it if paramount closes so I am left thinking did they do enough story wise for this to be a great one off season. For me no. But John stewart could get a movie but again under paramount doubtful.

Great episode. The callbacks, the interweaving tapestry, this is what I like to see

But on the other end scraping everything now and rebooting AGAIN would likely be a dumber move than just seeing where everything plays out.

Also, theyre going to be acquire the company with a massive debt, and also have the 30 Films per year mandate. Starting a DCU over from scratch again may be an unwise decision

this is why i just stopped watching after ep2 and decided to see if they stick the landing.

lindeloff mini series are great until they’re not. watchmen’s ending was kind of abysmal

I thought the gas still being on the planet and him hallucinating was a great part too. The alien planet section was fantastic. Felt this episode added a lot of great backstory and lore.

Still don’t know how I feel on if Hal is dead or not…can’t wait
