I felt like this too at first but the song actually dope and the bass sounds great in the car

I still enjoy it, but if you had to rank every Kendrick song from his main projects, this is near the bottom.

Speaks more to how great he is more than how mid the song is

He wasn't the GOAT before steroids but he was headed to Cooperstown for sure

If his career had ended in 1998, Bonds would be a .290 hitter with 411 home runs, 1,917 hits, 1,216 RBI, 1,357 walks (289 intentional) and a .966 OPS (164 OPS+). There are four other players eligible for the Hall of Fame with at least 400 home runs and 1,900 hits combined with a .290 career average and 160 career OPS+, all are enshrined in Cooperstown — Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Jimmie Foxx and Ted Williams.

He would of been top 5, with still 5-10 yrs to play

    Rap is one thing.

But why is it a huge deal if Drake has a song written for him where he's singing?

We know for a fact he's done the same thing for other people.

    I AM LOVE

Y’all need to understand and accept something.

All your favorite artists use writers once they reach a certain level of success.

Each and every single one of them.

When you’re one of the biggest artists in the world, of course you’re gonna want use the absolute best songwriters and music makers available to provide the best quality music.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is how the music sounds.

Nobody in the club’s gonna be like “Lol I’m not gonna vibe to this one cause the artist used a ghostwriter”

Your favorite artists’ biggest songs were most likely not written by them. And that’s perfectly fine.

They already proved themselves earlier in their careers. Now they get others to do the work for them. Win-win-win for the artist, writer, and listener.

    Capitalism

You're out here doing the most for your boy

All I see is 3 classic songs from a classic, Pulitzer winning album

Not sure which narrative you tryna spin dawg. I love Kendrick’s music. I’m just trying to make yall understand that neither he nor anybody else that big writes his own music.

Didn’t Drizzy write for Ye in Wyoming

Wasn’t the most personal song on self titled, about North, written by another man?

Drake has written singing songs for Alicia Keys, Bieber, countless others

written rapping songs for Kanye, Dr Dre, countless others

but when Drake gets gifted a song by the own producer of the song it’s a slander party. these people are re tarded

Having an above average amount of producers on one song doesn't prove anything, you're the one trying to spin a narrative out of nothing

Honestly though I just couldn’t imagine caring about credited writers for major artists

The only time I’d care is if the artist clearly suggested they do it all themselves

It’s like Russ with using loops. No one cares that artists use loops they just care that he suggested he does everything himself

Y’all mad about someone else writing a pop song?

Do y’all know how major labels work???

This is in no way similar to IYRT and idk why y’all are acting like it

Plus OZ definitely made a f***ton more money giving this to Drake than he would’ve releasing it himself

This conversation is pointless lol. Your favorite artists use writers. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Stop being so defensive about the “artistry”
