BabaláwoHonestly. Becoming aware of all the backroom politics that goes on for these award shows, really sucked whatever magic they had out of them for me. I wish all artist just ain't play the game, and stopped submitting their work to them. Whether it's the Grammy's, Oscars, or Emmy's.
I'd much rather these shows just celebrated everything that came out within the respective year, rather than actually giving out an award.
This, the award part is so corny and doesn’t make sense. Just recognize achievements through the year

definitely agree with this stance. Couldn't imagine how much better it would be if the awards shows weren't for awards but to have contemporaries come out and pay tribute/support the work that was released over the year with performances, interviews, video montages etc
