these parry windows are kinda bullshit lmao
It seems everyone thinks the Parry windows are a bit off in this one, but there is a solution: If you go to Settings > Gameplay > Difficulty > Choose "Custom" and adjust "Timing Windows" you can adjust the timing windows. Made a massive difference to me.
bruh that night of the burning trees reenactment sequence and cutscene
Hardest game moment of the year
Favorite part of the narrative was the tone switch from the violence of the Oni story to the tranquil nature of the Ainu people as you head up for the Kitsune.
Took down Takezo last night
I haven’t got this game yet guys. How is compared to Tsushima when it comes to story, character, plot, gameplay?

they gonna kill me for this but everything is worse expect for visuals maybe
tried getting back into this after a week and i just can‘t
it’s so repetitive, story doesn‘t catch me at all, gameplay is the same as the first one just with new weapons and worse stealth
this is just a beautiful game to get distracted by, but nothing more
and i‘ll stand on that

I like the Atsu more, but I also thought Jin’s execution by SP was kinda mediocre so your mileage may vary
the plot is a little worse (kinda generic)
Combat is slightly better but it was always great in the first game imo
I also think the open world is a LOT better. Coming across side activities feels a litte more organic like rdr2 almost

Next game needs to overhaul stealth and traversal. I want to be a shinobi or something. I don’t care if it’s too similar to AC shadows

Story is worse, Atsu = Jin imo
But gameplay, visuals and world are all amazing. Idk if I'd call them significantly better, but kind of a natural progression of the game? It's kind of what you'd typically expect from a sequel, it doesn't reinvent the wheel but it continues to do what the first did well
The combat system in the first is one of my favorite in any game ever and this mostly continues that (but substituting stances for different weapons) so it's great imo
And there's a ton to do. I'm 37 hours in enjoying it a lot and feel I still have a lot of game left.
I do agree that stealth is kind of useless in this one. Even on lethal difficulty I rarely feel the need to be stealthy rather than charging in

“No one leaves” I was like let’s f***ing go atsu!!!!!!
To be honest, it's hard to top the first games story so I can see why a revenge quest was done for the second one. I'll give it a shot. Thanks guys

It's funny cuz I see a lot of people hate on the Tsushima story but I really liked it
One of my favorite endings for a game ever too

Yeah it’s downgraded compared to Tsushima, at least to me. I felt the same way about Spiderman 2’s stealth compared to 1

The story was great and especially the climax when he rejects his Uncle's offer and becomes the Ghost

Done, absolute cinema.
Although I didn’t like that twist in the end and felt it was unnecessary, I do see the message they were trying to convey with it
Still amazing story, I look forward to dlc and whatever comes after that

The great ending definitely elevated it, but it does get a bit stale in the middle of the game. It's got a really interesting theme that isn't used much in video games so it's got that going for it, as well.
Just reached the Saito brothers region and I’m feeling a bit burned out on this at about 60 hours. Time to wrap this one up

Its actually really f***ing easy to grind out the skill tree if you buy the maps and just beeline to each one. Game is also better if you play this everytime a battle starts on loop

Some f***ing scumbag spoiled that for me in chat but it was still the best game ive played in a long time and everything I wanted it to be. I cant wait for legends
