Tsushima is one of my favorite games in recent years but nothing in the Yotei previews has really connected with me. Honestly, the most exciting new feature I've seen so far is the cooking. Im waiting for reviews before I decide when/if to buy.
It looks WAY too similar to the first one. Like at first glance I can’t tell them apart. I will still be playing, however
anyone else not really hyped for this? i might just have japan game fatigue tho
Not hyped for this or any game rn for odd some reason.
Buttt I do want to play it lol
Fans of the game, what are your thoughts on people saying the side quests in this game are very repetitive?

It just never gets old idk

The side quests aren’t repetitive, it’s the open world activities like fox dens, haikus, shrines, they’re copy and pasted everywhere it feels like. But it’s just optional so it won’t ruin your experience. Hopefully they fix that in Yotei

would also like to add that the side quests felt like fully thought-out, story-driven missions, and I had a ton of fun playing through them

definitely gets repetitive in terms of gameplay, the whole ‘track the foot prints…find a camp of enemies’ but it all adds to the immersive feeling aswell as backstory/lore, and alot of them you dont HAVE to do unless you want plat

One of the things I hope is rectified in Yotei is more consistent animation quality across the board.
Tsushima would do that old GTA thing where they’d have solid animations during most cutscenes, and then have the b-tier cutscenes where characters would move like goddamn marionettes.
Not getting more expansive towns I take it?
Not getting more expansive towns I take it?
Don't look like it... unless they are keeping it under wraps...
Game looks great and I wanna see the story but even i gotta admit the game does look way too similar to the first but at the same time I'm in not sure what they could have done to make it that much different without it leaning being towards a totally different game

Was never going to have major towns given it's set in Hokkaido, will have to play Shadows for that
They're hinting at more than one playable character, I wonder why all Sony games are following that route

I think one of the reasons they didn't continue Jin's story is having him as the protagonist again would make the sequel resemble Tsushima even more.

they are very repetitive, but you know what makes up for it? the amazing combat. this game still genuinely has one of the most fun combat systems in a very long time. i urge ppl to play on a harder difficulty because of how fun the combat gets (lethal specifically makes enemies stronger but you're also stronger).
also the multiplayer in this game was also so f***ing good. ghost of tsushima felt like a traditional triple a game, (really good story-mode, but also a multiplayer that was for some reason so fun)

real, especially for the multiplayer part
got legends was one of the best (if not the best) online expansion we’ve ever gotten
i‘m interested to see what the new one has for us
Are they really not gonna give us like a more in depth look at the world and side content?
They seem to playing surprisingly coy about this game in general.

There was a whole twenty minutes state of play on the game. How much should they spoil i mean idk maybe they should show more but I feel like it's had a kinda significant amount of stuff shown. Tbh though I wouldn't hold my breath for anything groundbreaking though..feels like it's gonna be like gow Ragnarok and horizon 2. Different story, more characters but very similar gameplay, graphics and overall structure. And that's not necessarily a bad thing I suppose but just know it probably won't be revolutionary. Wil be dope if it is
MAGAtards in arms cause of this lmao
Guess imma have to preorder this now
