The way the tracklist is sequenced is inspired. It all swirls into and out of The Manifesto, like a hurricane, and Proof's verse is at the center. Black Thought's verses are like anchor points across the album.

    Top 3 Gorillaz.

The music & harmonies moved me beyond belief.

I've been having spiritual battles as of late & this restored everything.

    Kinda' like a healthy release.

Sounds corny but s*** was super therapeutic.

Needed a break from all the rap s*** too.

Damn near 30 years in & they're putting something this beautiful out?

    Crazy

Might be my AOTY so far & this thread deserves waaaaay more than 13 pages.

not really sure why but this album didn’t really click for me on first listen. it kind of all blended together. but on successive listens i actually really appreciate that about it. its cohesive and ambitious as hell. a much slower burn than the last album, which was more like a quick and dirty short collection of solid songs. this is a lot more cinematic and needs to be chewed on a bit. i really respect the direction he went with this.

  • I see a lot of love for this album.
    I have to listen more.

On the first listens, the album is to “pretty” for my taste.
Will have to spin it more

Thats been my reason why im putting this off until i can really pay attention to the intricacies. Judging by the singles and the videos seems like they going further than they ever have. What i heard is beautiful but dense as hell.
