Might be a reach, but I feel like Drake drastically changed the way casual music listeners feel about singing.
Nowadays it feels like people want someone with a nice tone that they can easily sing along to rather than someone that’s way too technically skilled and advanced to follow along with
yup, that’s the thing with drake’s influence
he definitely revolutionized the genre and popularized that whole R&B/hip-hop merge thing-y and breathed new life into the genre but it definitely lowered the bar for dudes like Tiller to come around with average (if not subpar lol) singing and get carried by production and tone
he definitely played a part in the generic vibe&b stuff we have nowadays
You’ve got yourself a hit thread, Nortie.
cant believe it… ty
Everyone loved him until he fell out with Kanye now you all pretend he's garbage
Love in the future is a classic imo
Im using the word “good” as an umbrella for technically proficient singing in general, not as sum arbitrary tier, y’know?

Putting Mariah next to Whitney is crazy
From a vocal standpoint whitney clears
I’ve recently learned a lot of younger women, mainly early 20s do not enjoy Beyoncé’s singing. A shorty straight up told me she can’t sing, I was flabbergasted cause I never heard that before. Maybe I just wasn’t tapped in or it’s just a Chicago thing, but yea a decent amount of women aren’t all that hot on Beyonce like Twitter would have you believe.
Although I did have a coworker pay $2000 to go see her when she came to the city. But she’s approaching 30
this why i don’t fw them young girls
most women i know irl love Beyoncé tho. her songs come on often at my job and my female coworkers be singing along. these are women in their late 20s and 30s though

Its like look how good I can sing or bro just running with the Reminder flow for most of the forced “rap song” features - most of his rap focused songs too
Even in 2015 on features, it felt like when Skylar Grey is on Eminem songs as a typical one two punch of a
2 verses - 1 pop hook type thing
Beyonce for similar reasons
My bad y'all.
I never really like RiRi as a pure vocalist.
Also (hot take) Mariah in her prime can be annoying at times as well.
ehhh.. idk about this one
if we were to do a greatest singers ever list i guarantee you there’d probably be way more dudes than women if im keeping it a buck
Would a dude from after the 80s even make the list, lol?
nigga wanna name Adele, Ariana, Beyonce the whole nine yards huh?
why don’t we talk about Rihanna?
is this site ready for that conversation?
terrible post
you already admitted you can’t name anyone
but wanna deflect the thread onto another singer because you’re not happy with the names people already brought up
