    Cant pick

i mean posting personal favorites is probably better

if i didn't know rock music and made a thread like this and saw "hey listen to led zeppelin" and i did it i would probably be bored and not listen to more of it

it is ops thread and they said they weren't looking for just basic stuff

op wanted a starting point also and someone thought it was a good starting point and recommended them people recommended worse

not my favorite band either or anything. but i also come here to talk about music i like so i never just randomly s*** on music with 1 line posts like its the youtube comments or 4chan or something

Idk why it might just be a personal preference thing but hip hop albums have always been more consistent to me

ehhh they’re equal imo. they got their own way of arranging albums. but i will say hiphop albums are wayyyy better when it comes to concept albums/narrative albums

    Radiohead - OK Computer
    Ween - The Mollusk
The Strokes - Is This It
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream (or Mellon Collie but thats a long album)
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
    The Cure - Disintegration
    Nirvana - Nevermind
Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West
    Pink Floyd - DSOTM
    Joy Division - Closer
    Pixies - Surfer Rosa

Ignore what these niggas talking about and listen to the /mu/core s*** first before you listen to the boomer s***

Rock music didnt hit its stride until the 70s and most music from before then sounds like ass

  • Mar 15, 2022

these are casual picks but idc cause they are good. linkin park hybrid theory or meteora

70s rock is good boomer s***

Most 70s rock albums still sound swaggy to this day

60s rock sounds like granny panties
