DLC like?!
Y’all can just say y’all like elden ring more without saying stupid s*** about Ragnarok lmao
Ragnorok gives the same weapons, skill sets, and combos as the first game. They expanded things a bit, but most of the mechanics carry over from the first game. Also, you have to spend a fair bit of time revisiting old areas and fighting the same enemies
I haven’t beaten the game yet, maybe the experience is different for me since I only played the 2018 game last year ~ it feels very similar while Elden Ring makes me want to retry the older games since I know they made it a little easier
I still like both games

The skill trees and combos are all expanded upon and improved from the first that I’m not gonna spoil. and the only area that’s similar from the first game is Midgard and it’s still heavily changed by filmbelwinter
It’s a sequel they supposed to improve upon the mechanics they made not completely change them. I understand liking the souls formula more it’s subjective but the dlc comparison is ridiculous there’s way too much new content in Ragnarok
My opinion probably not as valid since i didn’t beat elden ring but i liked god of war way better, i finished it already and i had way more of an urge to play it. Elden ring i kinda stopped and just never picked it back up. They’re both good games but for me i need a decent story or a reason for actions. I liked seeing the personalities and growth of characters in God of war. I don’t like elden rings approach to storytelling and I’m not a big fan of the game design but i know I’m in the minority. The bonfire respawning and constantly fighting the same enemies in the same locations gets monotonous to me.
You played both so you're already more valid than most itt
I need to get farther haven't beaten it yet partially because dealing with a lot in life. I do like it though. Its loop works for me more than God of War 2018 at least. I just want to see a variety of game awards winners. Like if an Elden Ring wins maybe more companies will be inspired to make what they want to make . God of War has already won and a lot of the AAA market is becoming God of War, Last of us or like them
From software already won in 2019 with Sekiro
