I don't think action movies are that popular with general audiences. Other than John Wick, Mission Impossible, and James Bond...what action movies do people care about? We can barely name 5 in the last 10 years.

Yeah I didn't love fury road but I didn't think it was outright trash. There's clearly some love put into it. I'm just not a fan lol

Furiosa felt more like a Lawrence Of Arabia type epic than an action movie to me

infinitesimal degree of detail to its immaculate world building makes it so easy to get lost in

along the lines of sequel/prequel not necessarily offering any fresh perspective/ideas/visuals compared to the original, and because of that, even if it is nearly equal to the original, many will dismiss it as just alright.

ngl.. anytime Mad Max pops up on a streaming service I just want to rewatch Fury Road. Furiosa ain't bad... I just never have the urge to watch it again.
