Never seen the Mel Gibson-starring films and I don’t that’s ever gonna change
Mad Max pre-Fury Road doesn’t exist to me.. same way how The Dark Knight Rises and all the Alien movies after the original one don’t exist
I’ll still be seated at a theatre to watch Romulus though

Yeah and they called Clints character Blondie in TGTBATU but he was still The Man With No Name. It's a metaphysical archetype not a literal thing.

He goes on man with no name journeys after, but that's not what they are to the audience. Only because George Miller anthologizes really. He doesn't hold continuity sacred.

That’s why I don’t understand why people give a s*** whether or not The Wasteland is a “prequel”.

There’s a 95% chance that it’d just be a self-contained Mad Max adventure, the same as if it were a sequel.
