This was pretty good! It's been ages since I saw Fury Roas but I think I enjoyed this one a bit more. Anya is a star, man. So magnetic.

Had to do a regular screening last night but I need to see this again asap, it was incredible. it’s a more grief-filled & bitter movie than Fury Road so I can see why that movie goes down easier for most people. this had a lot in common with Three Thousand Years of Longing to me, kept spotting parallels. but I loved how much pathos & gravitas this s*** had in certain moments.

Anya was on another level here, her earlier scenes felt like silent movie star material & she just draws your eyes towards her in every scene. she’s def my favourite of this current gen of actresses. the brief connection between her & her driver killed me, the way that relationship arc was handled felt effortless. Hemsworth did some of his best work here, they need to let these actors go off more the way these too did here.

There’s a quick shot during the chase before where the monster trucks wheel grinds against her car door & her arms caught between the two, which probably left it dangling off before she was strung up
