Theres a lot of jokes itt but in all seriousness what we are seeing is as women become more liberated and independent their desire to be in a relationship or with a man has decreased. Meaning you no longer have to "have a man" to be happy or fulfilled.

that’s not the best metric for actual social views, for example some more right leaning parties in certain countries may be more liberal than in others

i think we need further data down to peoples actual beliefs before we draw any kind of conclusion here

In america they measured it based on stated ideology, in every other country they used the party people vote for

this isn’t a good metric, as parties can have quite fluid platforms on social issues, and people can be fickle with their vote even while not changing their core beliefs

for example the current uk government is the conservative party, however they’ve been so bad, even quite conservative people are planning to vote labour. does that mean everyone is suddenly progressive?
