Colleagues from the Telegram channel CIG_Telegram write that the American carrier strike group, which includes the aircraft carrier Gerald Ford, the cruiser Normandy and the destroyers Thomas Hudner, Remage and McFaul, is sent to the shores of Israel to demonstrate strength and support for the course of the current government.

On our own behalf, we would like to add that it doesn’t take that long for ships from an aircraft carrier strike group to travel. "Ford", "Normandy" and "Remage" are located just west of the island of Sicily, and "Thomas Hudner" is to the east. The problem can only arise with McFaul, which operates in the Gulf of Oman.

But it can easily be replaced as part of an aircraft carrier strike group by another carrier of Tomahawk cruise missiles - the destroyer Roosevelt, which is currently being resupplied in the Greek Suda.

So, if the information turns out to be correct, then in the coming days four Tomahawk carriers (up to 110 cruise missiles) plus an aircraft carrier with an F/A-18 squadron may appear off the coast of Lebanon and Israel.
