I don't agree with the sentiments in the post you replied to (there's a lot more to Israel's stranglehold over American policy), but it's always funny when people bring up foreign aid to Egypt re: the Israel debate.

The aid we send to Egypt (and much of the Arab world) is on Israel's behalf, as it comes with the stipulation that they have to be nice to them. That was also the whole thing with all of Trump's supposed "peace deals".
