It’s not dumb, it would be an excellent move if it could actually be done. What is dumb is that every time someone tries to call for a general strike, they completely underestimate the massive amount of organizing that has to be done to make it happen in a way that is at all effective. Nothing gonna come of just posting fliers on the internet which is all anyone trying to pull one of those seems to think is sufficient

I think it’s entirely possible to do but you need a large number of people organizing hard for a month in advance in a coordinated effort across cities and countries to make it meaningful. And we don’t have that level of cohesion and willpower

I mean I spent Saturday at home not working, going to school, and not spending money out.. But I’m not calling myself an activist, because people take breaks from society all the time lol
