Yeah I mean it was probably the troll kooks, but they do tend to often go relatively uncontested in here by the regulars. At the same time, I don’t think it’s a big deal. Was just pointing out why somebody could have the opinion flizzy did if they’re in here superficially once in a while.

Literally, it wasnt just trolls. There were regulars also. Idk why they're acting like they weren't. You're not wrong....

Flizzy is also literally Zionist so I have no clue why anyone would want to give them any sort of credence in regards to a balanced/fair view on the topic

thoughts on boycotting big brands like starbucks/mcdonalds/coke? ive heard that boycotts in malaysia are actually hurting the starbz over there. but do you think they can actually lead to a drop in profits for locations in the West?

if anything, its a good litmus test to see if people are willing to sacrifice a minor aspect of their everyday life for a larger cause

Imagine if all the people that attended the protests worldwide all collectively changed their shopping habits. I think the true voting power in a capitalist world starts from our wallets and eyeballs.

The thing is, aren’t most well known brands more or less owned by big capitalists and thus inherently pro western and Israel?

    Oh indeed

Boycotts against them are welcome as well, but secondary

more people will be on board & able to make an impact if the boycott focuses on fewer brands

people will lose track and give up if the boycott isn’t so focused

FWIW, I’ve seen Americana and others call out actual anti-semitism in here so I can’t really in good faith generalize.

I’m not gonna lie and say I don’t have a cathartic desire to see pro-Zionist settlers receive even a touch of the medicine they dish out. However, revenge and genocide are not the goals of Hamas or the Palestinian people

There are members of the Zionist project who support the idea of a multicultural, polyethnic, democratic country in Palestine

They incorrectly believe it will come from the Zionist Project, a white supremacist framework made up of European settlers. When has a European project ever led to equality and democracy? Rather, it will come from the Palestinian people who have centuries of peaceful coexistence on the land

Supporting democracy is supporting Hamas. Supporting genocide and irredentism is supporting Zionism

it’s crazy if you’ve ever gone thru all the brands on the BDS website the amount of brands that have economic or political ties to the zionist entity

i think people should just try to find as many alternatives as possible but it’s a s*** load of companies with those ties

    Sir Real

Let stop with the “innocent hostages” bullshit

    Here’s the facts

The Zionist entity is allowed to hold people in prison for 6 months without any sort of charges or trials

After the 6 months are up, they’re allowed to renew their sentence for another 6 months. Again, without charges, without trial.

There is 6,000 Palestinian prisoners in this situation. These are literally hostages

Hamas has repeatedly offered an exchange of all their hostages (100) for for all of Israel’s hostages (6000)

The Zionist entity has rejected this

Hamas response to this situation of holding thousands of Palestinians is incredibly small by comparison. This is simply trying to build leverage in an again incredibly proportionally small way to free thousands of people who have been locked up in a manner that completely violates all international laws
