in the 70s and 80s, you got some degree of dissent from the US line around Israel-Palestine from European politicians. Obviously not a huge or situation changing amount, but they were not so uniformly ignorant of Israel’s crimes.

What changed? I would like to see my country and others exercise a bit of independence here as this is deeply uncomfortable and frankly cowardly and evil
