Cali also does have crazier taxes because of the sheer money that's in Hollywood, wouldn't be surprised if that translates into the oil prices somehow

    Not at all

Norcal is more expensive than SoCal

    fortune.com/2022/02/02/oil-prices-100-barrel-inflation-gas-end-great-resignation-tiktok-generation
“Lower income groups are vulnerable to higher energy costs,” says Paul Donovan, an economist at UBS, who says, “There could be some peculiar indirect effects,” to oil hitting $100 a barrel...
...He notes that for the TikTok generation of 16- to 24-year-olds in the U.S.—a group that has been reluctant to reenter the labor force—“gasoline is a disproportionate amount of spending for this group. Higher oil prices may encourage a return to the conventional jobs market.”

    Business a***yst in IT

I’m also very frugal and have been living with my parents since I graduated last year until I’m in a place where buying a house feels appropriate. Super privileged and lucky spot to be in that I don’t take for granted

Imagine your primary means of transportation being at the behest of like 5-6 different private industries that are all worried abt trying to make a profit more than providing good service

I’m looking at getting an outlet installed. You can just use a normal outlet, but it’s slower. My job has a floor for EV’s where you get free charging and I’m in the office 3 days a week so I’d basically just get free charging there

Meanwhile record profits are appearing for oil companies. Weird…
