SUV's are priced higher than the equivalent car because of deman.

SUV's use more fuel, so if they where fiscally aware they'd buy a fuel efficient sedan

But everyone wants a truck and suv for some odd reason

Lots of blue collar workers use trucks because they need to carry tools and things that won't fit in a sedan, but I guess f*** them

Sit on job site all day with truck idling wasting gas.
Only use truck to get lunch. That bout it. Who cares, fuel prices better than Europe, cry more.

No one going hungry from increased fuel prices, they'll scale back spending elsewhere.

this only stresses how much we need to get rid of cars as our primary form of transportation and instead focus transportation and infrastructure spending into a primarily foot and rail based system

leave the roads to emergency vehicles and workers who need to transport supplies

I purchased two smaller fuel efficient cars because I knew this day would come, both cars get 40mpg regularly if driven softly.

Buying with public will immediately yern for more efficient vehicles aka the car.
