    Lannisters killing babies.
Jamie r*ping his sister on the casket of their dead son
    Red wedding

Danny had bigger guns and everyone suddenly had a moral high ground

Tyrion really f***ed the kingdom by convincing Dany not to attack KL on day 1

Also the team going north to capture a zombie to convince Cersei might be the dumbest plan and plot point of any show ever

And they were down a dragon by the end of that s*** and gave the night king the means to advance his army beyond the wall in the first place

But for real if cersei had 3 giant gold lions, she wouldn't have hesitated to send them to essos to kill Danny

Dany going mad isn’t the problem it’s how it played out. Rushed and not making a lot of sense.

They moved the ball over the goal line without any effort.

Watching the first 5-6 seasons with the rest of the world outside of any streaming services and with the quality of the show during those seasons will never be repeated.

Besides The Sopranos, that will forever be my favorite TV experience.

Seeing everyone's takes and reactions immediately after Blackwater, Red Wedding, Oberyn's death, etc. was simply amazing.

I really wish after season 6, they spent an entire year just writing the end of the show; then split the last season in two parts.

This isn’t an appreciation but it’s the quickest thing I could find

I just realized Dany never even thinks about Jon’s heritage from the perspective of her brother. Like that aspect is just completely lost on her - “hey my bro produced a kid, golly”

Not a huge thing, as Dany is rarely wistful about her family as the story progresses, and I’m fine with the Throne and her romantic relationship taking higher priority, but that’s something that would be a killer moment when you’re trying to hammer home the point of how much influence Targaryens ultimately had on all of this

So many endless ways those show runners dropped the ball though

They made Tyrion such a f***ing idiot the second he teamed up with Dany I was expecting a plot twist where he was sabotaging Danny from within to help his sister out

Right, I don’t mean acknowledging their relationship from the perspective of how it affects the throne. I mean literally contemplating her brother who’s the guy’s father. I guess I just feel like there’s content to be had in having her show a little compassion or yearning for that brother she never really knew, and you can even use this chance to try to assign Rhaegar as being a decent dude, so you as the viewer feel like theres a smidgen of decency in the Targ line by the last episode

I realize this is all mad headcanon-y, but it just felt weird to me that Lyanna and esp Rhaegar really have no value as characters, but are moreso just a plot device for the Aegon storyline. Apparently there’s some book stuff with him and Robert that doesn’t fit within the show’s timeline, maybe that could’ve been used to flesh him out? It’s really the reduction in episodes in S7-S8 and the resulting simplification that I think makes none of this possible
