The mistake were these trash as writers/showrunners. Imagine someone like Vince Gilligan and team had been showrunner..

Exactly, writer advised them they needed more seasons/episodes to properly tell the story and HBO wanted them to do so but they were rushing to wrap it up hence the shorter seasons

Went from being about scheming and characters to non stop action and teleporting everywhere and the smart characters doing stupid things to move the story along

just finished Dragonslayer from back in the day and tbh it has some GOT energy to it surprisingly dark

The show's peak is seasons 1-4. Season 5 is good but a step down in quality, season 6 is better than 5 but not 1-4 quality. But season 6 is still really good

Season 7 is when the decline really starts to become clear, but just watch the whole thing and form you own opinion

1-4 was really good and see why it’s revered by masses . The sense of unpredictability and suspense is so captivating that Ive rushed past hours of the show unknowingly. Only thing I knew going in was some deaths n that Jon snow basically does nothing during this period lol. On season 5 rn n it’s definitely a decline in quality but still a good show. I love how you basically only see all the starks together at the beginning n from there they’re all just doing their own thing n see each other here n there .

Also red wedding lived up to the hype

The nights watch is so boring in the beginning but when Jon become commander they become so much more badass . I love how this show doesn’t really have a main character

S5 Ep 8 has one of the most brutal deaths in the show for me . That lady getting devoured by those malnourished kids . Had to to run that s*** back

Honestly season 7 isn’t even bad . Jon still remains the most uninteresting character in the show but this season has a lot of great moments and if this is what people consider trash I might end up liking the finale

Winter is coming

Halfway through the last episode of season 7 and so far it’s alright n will continue to be alright it just ends up ending really f***ing stupidity

Jon has such a fascinating origin n should be a lot more complex but his character kinda comes off as one dimensional to me n not having much substance n that’s cool n all but every conflict he’s involved with has no tension or stakes whatsoever cause u know he’s gonna prevail n cheat death for like the 3rd time now lol

I already know about Dany becoming evil , I knew it from the very beginning but I can’t wait to see how they end up setting that up with only 7 episodes left n tying all the loose ends of the over arching story

I’ve loved every minute of screen time they’ve been given and the small scale s*** they had going on was sometimes a lot more entertaining than the big picture s***
