Knew them b****es was crazy right from the beginning especially after I saw that chicken
It’s really just a sitcom disguised as a dramedy, like Succession
lmao wait wym?
Both episodes were great
Got caught off guard with that scene with “Tupac”
word i'm still tryna figure out what that scene suppose to mean

Same I’m still confused

It's just a telling of the theory that pac is still alive in another country like Darius said. Ion think there's anything else to it
lmao wait wym?
Like the nature of the show feels like a sitcom.
Each episode is driven by adventures/situations the characters find themselves in, there isn’t really a through plot that drives the show forward (people don’t tune in to see “what’s gonna happen next?”), and not much changes drastically regarding the characters between episodes.
But each show, Atlanta and Succession, is dressed up as a drama/comedy while really operating more as a sitcom underneath the surface

word? I feel like there always is some type of deeper connection.

nah Succession has way more of a plot than Atlanta (not sure if thats what u was saying)
But yea theres definitely a through line plot in the show which is the rap career, it's just not the focal point. And the characters aren't gonna drastically change from episode to episode but they do from season to season.
for example in Season 1 Paper boy didn't give a f*** about no one hyping up his music. Look at when they was getting wings, he aint give two f***s about dude saying he loved his music but as soon as he said "I hooked u up wit the lemon pepper wet" Paper boy face lit tf up...........Now fast forward to this season and look how wild Paper boy acting now with his fans: smiling, throwing money. The show has progression but it's subtle and spread throughout the seasons and puts theme at the front
To me when i think sitcom i think Seinfield, and in no way does that show tackle themes and character study the way Atlanta does
first episode was hard to watch
I had read about that story like a month ago so was so relieved when they pulled a OUATIH. really powerful episode, definitely a favorite for me
second one was pretty good too. prison scene was hilarious. Darius seemed a bit cliche but I'm sure he's gonna have an amazing solo episode
hope Van was just smoking a bong at 4am

never thought about it being like OUATIH both sad real life endings changing to a good ending
First ep was brilliant to immediately subvert expectations. Pretty tough to watch but the kind of on-the-nose satire this show rly excels in.
Second ep is the perfect re-introduction for all the characters and white Europe as a new character
so many amazing scenes, quite a couple actually had me lol'ing irl.
Just finished S2 rewatch yesterday and it's amazing how seamlessly this continued, like it was never off air. First ep's immediately establish this as most ambitious season yet, def the most excited I've been about TV since Twin Peaks S3 first premiered

When you say "pulled a OUATIH" do u mean switching the ending?
S3E1 was truly some crazy ass unexpected s***, brilliant premiere
Also wasn’t expecting the timejump but I’m glad they’re doing it considering Season 4 is supposedly the last

right, rewriting a tragic story from history to give it a happier ending
