the best one-off episode of the series, maybe the best mockumentary of all time. Had to check if it was true twice, it was so grounded in reality.
S4 is so funny I feel like I’ve been missing stuff the last 3 seasons
If y'all wanna watch a show that's just about rappers being rappers doing rapper s*** Lil D***y's s*** is right there
Why would I watch that
damn sinbad looked rough
he had a stroke a couple years back. you can tell the effect but i was happy to see him
Why would I watch that
Cause people still think that Atlanta is just a show about what life is as a rapper and a rap manager for some reason
I do like how this is commentating on how a lot of people reach real hard to find any hidden social commentary. And at the end of the day it’s just a goofy movie dude.
I was fully invested in this episode as if it was a real documentary.
Incredible direction and immersion from the showrunners.
the reveal about the modern-day memes being a representation of his original vision for the movie is amazing
crazy how relevant this show always is to what’s currently going on. it somewhat feels like DG’s personal response to the Kanye drama rn even though this was written a long ass time ago
you're watching two seasons at the same time?
no i completed all 3 and am on 4 but am only two episodes in

I thought the whole point of the episode was it was originally intended to have hidden social commentary lol
Ok ok soooooo....I just thought of some s***
Season 3 episode 8 is New Jazz
Season 4 episode 8 is The Goof Who Sat By The Door
THE GOOF WHO SAT BY THE DOOR

Ain't nobody trying to watch that gentrified knock off.
Wow just found out Tom isn’t a real person lol I guess that kinda makes it better I was really a little sad after the episode lol
The most heartbreaking part about this episode was the realization of black struggles, even back then to now. The constant feeling that you have to fit some type of mold…just be you. Isn’t that crazy how it feels like that’s such a big thing in our culture? You could be CEO of Disney and still not feel black enough because you’re surrounded by white people who didn’t even intend for you to be in that position in the first place
And let’s be honest some parts of our culture aren’t even worth bragging about once you look at it from a birds eye view. Most of it by products of struggle
