I think the whole Earn asking Van “what is it about Atlanta that you don’t want to leave behind” question hit me mad hard. there are too many times in life where we are scared to just risk more than we're comfortable with. life always progresses and sometimes you gotta make a change in environment to realize that

I swear it’s a little wider, I watched Mid90s after which is 4:3 and it wasn’t as wide

You can ask that very same question to the audience too when you think about it since the show is ending soon

A lot of the themes of this season have reminded me of Mr. Morale tbh.

    • Trying to break the cycle of toxic family dynamics
    • Addressing sexual abuse in black families
    • Keeping families together
    • Putting your ego aside
    • Going to therapy

Van's character ever since europe has been intolerable

First Loses her teaching job over weed

Was doubting earn and clowning him for getting into music with paper boi

Goes psycho in Europe completely forgetting about lottie

Now on this latest episode basically makes earn beg to be in a relationship with her

Like what exactly do you have to offer to be making this man convince you. Earn a better man than me fr

    from reddit:

    Earn was the snipe.

    Very rare

It only comes out at night (Earn’s emotions)

It has red eyes (Earn crying)

Only the coolest and smartest can catch it (Earn admitted to Van she’s all he ever wanted. She is his dream girl. She’s the coolest and smartest)

Lottie: Did you ever catch it?

Van: No but with your help I think I can

Earn told Van that Lottie is the physical manifestation of what happens when they get together. Lottie helped Earn both realize and understand his immense love for both Van and their family.

    Reach like a mf

half the things you mentioned happened way before Europe lol I agree that Van has been pretty aimless these past two seasons but she wasn’t making Earn beg for anything

Van’s primary problem throughout the series is that she has no idea who she is outside of being Lottie’s mom and Earn’s baby mama. so it’s pretty understandable that Earn leading the idea of getting back together with “I love you because you’re Lottie’s mom” wouldn’t be that appealing to her.

how would you feel in her position?

Obviously I know some of this s*** happened S1 S2 man. I been watching this since it first aired

The man literally said i love you and I want to be a family. Not his job to appease her insecurities as a nobody

Earn took her for granted during their entire relationship bro. so naturally she wanted to know if he was fr before getting back together with him

if you don’t like the b****, that’s valid lol but she’s not wrong for wanting to make sure things were going to be different before she literally uprooted her entire life for him

Letting someone who you previously took for granted know that you love them for them instead of as an accessory is not appeasing her insecurities as a nobody
