Warren PeaceYooo Earn’s fight with Tracy in season 2 makes so much more sense now that we got his backstory
Earn got his suit stolen at Princeton, went in to take it back, and it ruined his whole life and sense of self. Then in North of the Border, Earn got his laptop jacked and ended up having a f***ing mental breakdown trying to bust the door open to get it back. And then on the car ride back, Tracy started picking with him
Not knowing or understanding Earn’s backstory, the scene was just funny and Earn seemed like a pressed nigga who was too mad about Tracy to take a joke but now I realize the s*** was so much deeper than that. Earn was having a flashback to the Sasha situation and Tracy was legit triggering him without anybody knowing

Nah I disagree. I can’t tell if this is a flaw of the episode or actually genius writing, but the characters were gaslighting the f*** out of Earn here
Idk maybe I’m too much like him and still need to heal from my past baggage lol, but I don’t think he was wrong at all. Earn has been repeatedly s***ted on. We saw it multiple times throughout the first three seasons and now we see it’s been a recurring thing throughout his entire life. So his striking back in this episode didn’t feel petty but more like him finally prioritizing himself and using the resources he has at his disposal to take a stand, something few black men in the world get to do.
I feel like Al, Darius and Earn’s therapist did the exact same thing to him here that those white people at Princeton did. They cut his motivations down to sheer spite and completely disregarded his pain.
Earn was screwed over by Sasha in college. And when he took a stand by using his RA privileges to get his suit back, he was punished and made to be the villain without anyone considering his point of view. And it’s the same thing with this airport incident.
By going back to Princeton and taking his family on a vacation, Earn was genuinely trying to take his therapist’s advice and heal from his past. But once again, he was s***ted on by a white lady who damn near ruined the experience. And when Earn decides to take a stand by using his $$ and paying other black folks to give her a dose of what she inflicted on countless other black people, he is once again made out to be the villain without anyone considering his point at view.

Maybe watch some season recaps on YouTube, those are really great if you don’t have enough time for an entire rewatch. They came in clutch for Better Call Saul.
