Honestly it sounds like you're talking about generic films bro.
Look at Breaking Bad and Sopranos, it's not as simple as "should we root against him or with him?"
in good writing it's never that simple. a well written character is never always in the right or always in the wrong BUT you still usually have a protagonist you are meant to root for and antagonists you are meant to root against.
like in the Sopranos, you see Tony do a lot of s*** where you know he's in the wrong, but at the end of the day you still root for Tony, at least up until like the last couple episodes of the show.

I think you're applying "They the protagonist so we have to root for him"
You can easily root for Aaron from last episode before Tony Soprano, so that should answer your question.
Trini 2 De Bone might be my favorite episode of TV this year so far
Why do you like it?
Look at Parasite or Burning, there wasn't any characters you're exclusively suppose to root for and other characters you're suppose to root against
cap bro in parasite ur obviously supposed to be rooting for the poor family. not like 100% all the time forever, I mean parasite treats the poor family like they are doing f***ed up s*** pretty often. But at the end of the day, yeah, the film wants you to like the main family.

A poor family lying and scamming an innocent rich family isn’t obviously rootable bro.
Like I said you’re applying “protagonist” and making them automatically rootable. And if that’s the case I’m not sure why you’re so confused on who to root for in Atlanta. Just apply the same logic bro.

you d***head bro I'm not saying "oh in concept yea a poor family scamming a rich family is just who u would root for" idek how/why u would think that's what I'm saying
film and tv has characters no? these characters are characterized. and there are ways to make a character seem human or relatable or whatever. This isn't just what the character does. It's how the character is shot, how their actions are presented, scored, etc. Point is, it's more than just what happens in the story, it's the filmmaking.
In other words, ur obviously meant to root for the parasite family. when they are in the rich family's house and u think they are gonna get discovered, ur meant to be worried about it. like ur meant to be rooting for them, u don't want them to be discovered. this is not because of anything that happens in the story, per se. I mean there's nothing about a poor family hiding in a rich family's house that would make you want to root for the poor family. It's the way the show is particularly written, shot, scored, etc. Like conceptually, yeah, they are doing something wrong and if you heard about it online you would think badly of a family camping out in another family's house, but when u watch the movie u don't want the parasite fam to get caught. This is because of how the parasite family is framed.
Anyway, the tie in to Atlanta is that the framing is like really weird, like inconsistent asf. I'm not saying "oh Atlanta's weird cus the characters do good and bbad things" no s*** every show does that, but usually the way a show treats characters, ideas, actions, etc. is consistent. Think how Aesop's fables all have a moral right? like think of framing as sort of a film's code of ethics right, or maybe a film's philosophy. Anyway, Atlanta's is really weird and all over the place.

Like I said apply the same logic to Atlanta. Idk why you're switching it when it comes to the show. It's not framed weird or inconsistent.

no but it is tho lol
like certain things are framed one way at the start of an episode and then not framed that way later
I think this is because Atlanta writers don't actually have a clear idea of what they trying to say. there's no point or message or moral, its more just raw expression of s*** that's observed. Like oh this makes me think abt society lets put it in this weeks episode lol
which is totally cool for the record I f*** w it but its still weird

With the latest episode what was framed one way at the start and framed different later on?

bro "acting black" online at the start was framed as a bad thing at the start. then at the end he's acting black but now its a good thing.
s*** like that.
it’s in black and white, so artistic
it’s in black and white for a reason
idk if u watched episode yet so imma just not say anything
Alright I take it back the Anthology episodes are better lol
man i tried to tell y’all
