This is the first time ever watching this show where I've had mixed feelings on an episode. I mostly liked the ep but I'm kinda like ehhhh you coulda left this on the cutting room floor.

But at the same time tho seeing Chet Hanks damn near killed me as did the rest of the funeral so hey at least it made me laugh

Sylvia taught that boy about Trini culture, he knew about her family members, knew what food he liked, and was the one who showed up for family pictures

The more I think about it, the more I like this episode

It had a lot of heart. And it spoke on how welcoming and nurturing black cultures can be, while the whole time the white parents were talking down about Slyvia and her whole culture even after she was dead

Also showed how children arent born prejudice. And luckily the kid was raised to respect those cultures instead of being like the parents and being ignorant

Also how these rich parents that have nannies essentially raising their kids for them don't know their children at all and are practically strangers

Episode brought back so many vivid memories from my childhood

Donald really should've went with the original idea of having it be an anthology type series, all the unrelated episodes have been my favorite this season.

They really mention Dr. Lipschitz from rugrats lol
