never listened to one of their songs
they kicked out ameer and signed to rca within months. not saying signing immediately revokes your diy card but the coincidence of those two things just felt like the fizzling of their mystique... they truly made it now and yep, theyre still making arty rap about therapy with screams and weird beats. and the best rapper is gone.
saturation trilogy was dope tho
It was only gonna work with ameer. all the more eccentric guys being obviously the perfect thing for 2017- zeitgeist but ameer kept it grounded to appeal to more “regular” niggas especially pre 2020’s

It worked without Ameer for 3 albums.
He was def one of the best rappers of the group and unfortunately what led to them breaking up

Im saying as far as them being a group niggas outside of circles like these fw
They were successful but i dont think they really impacted the casual rap fan and tbh in retrospect they were one of the first groups along with Griselda simoultaneously blowing up that signaled how fragmented rap was about to become
But in terms of the 2010-2017 way of looking at things Ameer was the guy that the “traditional” (for lack of a better term lol) rap fan would have latched on to
Only thing that sucks coming off their breakup is how Bearface isn't active no more. Arguably the most potential for a pop star out the whole group besides Matt and Kevin.
Facts. Son had the most potential to be out here fr. He was my favorite member along with Kev, Matt and Ameer
I never saw the hype tbh. Plus everytime someone told me they listened to them they were a certain look lol
I think this is what really did them in initially lol. I remember the hype was insane until the first tour when niggas saw their fanbase then the hate threads were coming in like clockwork

Just say you don't support white lgbtq and keep it moving all jokes lmao
Kicked a nigga out for “gaslighting his girlfriend “
You can’t win with a fan base like the one they had they too sensitive
This was during peak me too movement. Any guy or girl who just awkwardly f***ed up in a relationship was cancelled. This started the idea that cheating on your partner was cancellable for your career as well

misogyny comment
yea their era was a pretty great time. of course 2017 was great but how they maneuvered in the years to follow was pretty entertaining as well. gotta chance to see them at the end of the saturation era and also met them wayyyy back in their ALL AMERICAN TRASH era and took pics with each one of the members lol.
there was also the stuff about ameer
helping rob dom’s friend or something
oooh yeah I forgot about that lol. He snaked his literal band member lol
I been on a brockhampton kick this last week
I never knew puppy eventually leaked or maybe I forgot but it’s nice to hear ameer with them again
Once they appeased the cacs and kicked out Ameer it was a wrap
i was 'obsessed' with brockhampton probably a grand total of two weeks plus when iridescence came out. the group itself could pull their weight together and did so for several albums, but i moreso think about the fact that we just dont be getting these kinds of 'youth groups' that genuinely brew and blow up from behind the scenes anymore. theyre not young but i feel that way about griselda too. these days we just dont get anyone lol. theres a bunch of people from the 10s, doechii, and whatever new alphonse core dude thats popping up every two weeks
