  • Alright brothers keep it formal
My friend got kicked out by his parents at 18 years old, he’s got nowhere to go or to sleep, no money no nothing, just the little bit of data left in his cellphone but he’ll probably hook to Starbucks wifi
I can’t take him with me as we live 4 states apart and I don’t have a car, what advice can y’all give him right now? Is he doomed to be homeless? I don’t wanna see a brother going down the pothole of homelessness

All his friends live nearby but their parents won’t take him for some reason, I’m thinking about paying him a hostel until he can get a job or something

He has to admit to his mistakes and apologize to his parents. By now he should realize how much he needs them and he shouldn’t have got in that position in the first place.

If not he has to get his s*** together, find a job and maybe live in a homeless shelter while he gets his s*** right. He can get a gym membership and use their showers but best bet is homeless shelter.

He can also go on craigslist and see if there are any jobs or gigs he can do. At this point he should be grateful to take any job posted on there

Cause Op clearly states his friend got kicked out by his parents.

It’s just a suggestion . If there’s nothing to apologize for then disregard the suggestion?

  • Jun 30, 2024

@op try and put him up in the nearest city and get him to find a restaurant job or somewhere where tips are good

Good extra untaxed money and the hours are short

He can enroll in a community college or trade school from there

Sorry if you went through a similar situation but don’t come at me. I’m just suggesting based on what little info that was provided.

The friend is 18 with no money , no job I doubt the parents just kicked him out for the hell of it. I could be wrong but yeah

Guys thanks for the help, he couldn’t get a job because he’s too busy studying for college, which he didn’t end up getting into, main reason he got kicked out, I don’t want him to be meat for crackheads and lowlifes so I’m trying to save him, will try to get him a ticket bus to somewhere near me

This cultural aspect in the US of parents kicking their kids out immediately after they turn 18 or charging rent is so fascinating to me
