Emerald is probably the second best Pokemon game. First is Crystal which is really hard to contend with. Would say that after Emerald Fire Red/Lead Green are next. Pokemon Yellow is amazing too.

I'm currently playing HG and the level balancing is so ass, completely ruins the game. I have to train to around Lvl 80 to beat Red but Mt Silver (which has the highest Lvl wild Pokémon in the game) stops at below Lvl 50 That's like 100 hours of training just to beat 6 Pokémon
