There was an episode where OG Hilary dropped out of college in the first season of Fresh Prince, which pissed off her parents and they made her find a job.

She then worked as a caterer for a little while afterwards, they did an episode about it in the 2nd season. This show just took those minor things and made it into a full, deeper storyline. I dig it

It’s still weird seeing her be all conscientious though

I was wondering if they would show Will’s dad in this. If so, it would probably be even darker than the original backstory

OG Papa Smith was just a bum, but this one could have been abusive, an addict, a criminal etc. If they do tackle that story, they’ll have a hard time redoing it seeing how iconic it is

Will and Carlton starting to come to an understanding. I also take back what I said about New Ashley. they finally explored her a little more and she’s really the same kid she was in the OG, bored by rich kid life and like Will, looking for more relatable people to attach herself to. Geoffrey got some development as well. mans is really the family fixer. I guess I was right about him taking out the d*** dealer, but it didn’t play out the way I thought it would not to mention it was a lot sooner

Hilary and Jazz bonding at his record store was cool. I’m sort of bummed that she and Ashley already apparently know him and we didn’t get to see the intro. But nevertheless, it was a cool scene. The “High Fidelity” reference was fire too, right down to the Lisa Bonet mention

And Tray is on his way to Bel-Air? Oh s*** fam, he and Jazz def about to be fighting over the Bel-Air Princess

But I missed Ashley liking girls so I might have missed the New Cornflake too lol

I took him as the dude on the basketball team with him. The one in his algebra class.

I shouldn’t have said it like i know for sure though cause it’s just a guess but he’s kinda serving the role Cornflake did in the OG show
