Exactly as I said, CLB isn’t a strong enough album to carry a whole set. Should’ve left it at Knife Talk and No Friends In The Industry, and kept it moving with the classics like Gods Plan.
Dec 10, 2021·3 repliesWESLEYS THEORYI think the main issue with Drakes set last night was simply that CLB is not a strong enough album to carry an entire set. I don’t think it’s a bad album, but his set kind of just came and went for me, whereas Ye was borderline hypnotic.
Yeah but it also kind of highlights that kanye is entering the part of his career where he has to rely on older hits to keep up. If Kanye had just played DONDA music it would have been pretty boring

The whole vibe of the stadium went from a party to watching a performance. What's disappointing is Drake could've easily just kept the party going with the right setlist

If anything, that would be the case because obviously more Ye fans were there than Drake fans, and most of the Watching the Throne/West Sub Ever/Bart Simpson Twitter nerds don’t like drake because he’s not artsy enough
