He’s been locked up since he was 23 (twenty three years old) and is now 71, what he did was obviously f***ed up but if he committed his crimes 50 years ago (down to allegedly calling shots 24 years ago according to state conviction) then what benefit do you see from continuing to have a 71 year old locked up, I just can’t really find any besides wanting some sort of revenge or “justice” that can’t come

I don’t believe in prisons as a deterrence and evidence shows it doesn’t work too, so what are we really locking people up for at this point when everything points to him being a positive member of society that would spend time with his family when released, its not as if anything suggests he would come out and be a negative influence or violent so I find it hard to be for keeping an old man locked up

This nigga damaged Chicago to the point where some of the effects are still present to this day. Idc how long he’s been locked up. We’re supposed to just believe he’s going to be some outstanding citizen when he got mfs that would do whatever He say if he’s free?
