What do you mean frank isn’t that into music? Every project he’s ever released is passionate and detailed as f***

Seen quotes in here about how he was never passionate about making music but he knew that he was good at it and could use it to elevate himself to the lifestyle he wanted.

He loves luxury design. And? His work is generally more human than a lot of others.

And we all heard his Raf verse. He had a "butter cream, silk shirt, and it's Versace" back during CO. No one was finenessed. In any case, he kinda goes into his materialist dilemma on his Purity verse as well.

Edit: since some people don't read the OP, my post is clearly not about his merch sales disaster.

Nigga said no one was finessed when hes gone on vacations using the money of fans who bought merch and still havent got the s***

I'm referring to the OP, which makes it clear that we're not talking merch sales here. Read OP's post.

Post proof of that because up until recently Frank rarely even ventured outside of music that literally was his main focus and he would spend years working on the same project

it was from an interview where he said he didn’t have a passion for it but used it as a way up

I don’t have the link but I definitely saw the post in another Frank thread yesterday

ppl are writing this off as they should bc we were the dumbassess but i’ll say this

he meant a lot to black and brown non heterosexual men who were still masculine in their identity

that coming out open letter broke boundaries. ppl hate to admit but odd future meant a lot to the 18-25 crowd on here and when this songwriter who was making waves during the peak of his career decides to come out, it was huge.

that’s why when we see LNX it kinda hurts bc it seems to be run off controversy and clicks instead of actually making space for black and brown youth to be unconditionally queer.

i’ve seen this trajectory going for a long time but i’ll just say that frank can do whatever he wants hé a grown ass man. it was just disappointing to see his art cater to rich white folk more than anything lol

Maybe I fell for the same delusion that OP is talking about but it just really removed any idea of Frank as someone who cares about social issues or his fans that aren’t rich

He never said he wasn't passionate he did say he saw it as a way to lift himself out of poverty. Dude clearly dedicated his all to perfect that craft, in the same way someone could use a sport to get themselves out of poverty. Doesn't necessarily mean they lack passion for it.

Hey, everyone. We got smacked with a copyright infringement so Reddit took down the video, not us. And as much as it sucks, we just don’t want to f*** around with that s***.

We never meant to take the spotlight from Frank by posting the video. And Frank put a ton of work into these songs, so we want to make sure he gets paid for it (plus we don’t want to get sued)!

We shared this video for two reasons, 1) because our friend shared the photo of the records we’d texted him, and we didn’t want him to get attacked for lying and 2) because we knew everyone would be excited to hear, and we wanted to share the love.

We’re not holding the songs hostage, we’re just trying not to get taken to court, and trying to make sure Frank gets the revenue he deserves. I’m glad so many of you got to listen to Dear April before it got taken down. I feel super bad and wish this wasn’t out of my control.

    Be well ❤️
