First of all I’m not going to talk about him scamming fans with vinyls etc last year; that s*** is just obviously unprofessional and there’s not much to discuss here (but that’s a thing to keep in mind anyway)
What I’m going to talk about is how Frank finessed a lot of people on a major scale in an emotional/ideological way LMAO
Frank done dropped an emotionally relatable masterpiece with Blonde but also has always been pretty quiet about his habits/lifestyle
Which made his fans hook up on that emotional connection with his music and use it to fill the missing pieces of Frank persona in their heads
Result is people deadass thinking this:
But as @innuendo pointed out in some threads, Frank actually been materialistic from the jump and now, with Homer etc he’s actually that rich mf who does rich mf s*** and all those projected misconceptions about his persona begin to fall.
Y’all be talking about Frank being relatable and rejecting materialism meanwhile Frank is out there driving 911 GT3 and y’all don’t even own a regular Carrera lol.
Update: and of course I don’t think it’s some kind of an intentional finesse; rather just a case of people being mad delusional
I was not expecting what I read in OP but this is pretty spot on for something I never paid much attention to. I’m laughing that people think Frank isn’t materialistic. They gonna start calling this man the great socialist hope soon
I remember he tried selling that basic ass merch overpriced and people were sucking his d*** trying to defend him. I love Frank but he do be on some hoe s*** sometimes
Maybe I fell for the same delusion that OP is talking about but it just really removed any idea of Frank as someone who cares about social issues or his fans that aren’t rich
I don’t think frank gives a f*** and that’s pretty clear at this point
Plus his little bro died. I doubt he’s been super fine since then
lmao y’all bring kanye stans up but at least kanye is actually entertaining outside of just dropping classic albums
Frank persona outside of music is dry af
saddest but funniest tweet of all time
Imagine bumping White Ferrari while actually driving a white Ferrari tho
must be a whole another level of relatability
gotta be crazy fr
Frank stans flocking to Thundercat would be terrible and I'm pretty sure Zack Fox will probably call them crackers at some point.
i’ve gone up to zach fox once he’s mad chill he’ll def call em crackers but will smoke with em
Niggas think cause Frank made the soundtrack to their first breakup that they supposed to be his friend
I agree but I’m pinning Frank specifically because he’s the type of artist to make it easier for fans to build up delusions because of more “mysterious” persona and not opening it up about his personal life/habits like that (even tho it’s still quite on surface as mentioned itt)
But like you don’t see mfs trying to say Gunna is some standards-rejecting anti-materialist because it would just be obviously not true lol (s/o Gunna btw)
He definitely played up that image of minimalism, non conformity, inclusiveness etc..
Look at the BDC mag and you can see countless references to and inspiration taken from queer youth, a community that actually represents a lot of the kinds of values that people attribute to Frank. He obviously knew about these references and about the kind of people that compose his fan base (I.e., queer youth). Even the new jewelry is in line with the same aesthetic. To me, it’s corny for him to be entrenched in the visual cues of that community while pricing and just generally operating his business ventures in an extremely exclusive way.

some of these kids in his fanbase worship him for real. could never do wrong in their eyes

The thing is he doesn't have to be a spectacle, he can have a private life...
It's like J. Cole having that very down to earth persona, dressing simple and not high fashion and riding buses and s***, does that make you mad? I know he's rich but I like that he's doing all that. He also said that taking that distance is better for his mental health.

That’s my main problem with Stans. I Stan certain artists like Cudi for example but I will never exempt him from criticism or his BS. Same with Ye.
idk if this is known, but I think I found the twitter of frank's dad and he's posting some legal papers or something
