this would be wild
i had to come up with an album rollout for my marketing class a while ago
i couldn’t come up with anything for so long but i was thinking about coachella and realized:
if i had two albums, say like frank in 2016 or bruce springsteen in 92, etc.
i’d drop a random single a few weeks before coachella (assuming i was headlining).
surprise drop one album in time for week 1 of coachella, but that single i dropped isn’t on it.
play the first weekend promoting that first album, leading ppl to believe that first single was a loosie.
then like the night before my headlining set weekend 2, surprise drop the second record (containing the first single i dropped).
very few artists have done different sets over the two weekends, no one has done something like this. it would be a once in a lifetime moment for that artist. but i think that could be a really cool rollout if someone had the star power and music quality in them
professor gave me an 88 on the project. was drunk when i wrote it and for the “works cited” i just copied and pasted links, none of that MLA s*** lmaooo
