without giving too much away, i have a friend in the industry very close to the situation and frank is 100% locked for Coachella

worst case scenario it’s a greatest hits set which would be one more concert than we’ve gotten in the last 6 years

best case scenario is a new live set around a whole new al*um that will allow us to view channel orange and blonde through a new lens as well as welcoming like 12-17 new frank tracks into our lives
while allowing us to stop wondering if he’s retired for like the rest of the decade

i don’t want to get my hopes up but the fact that we could possibly be getting a new frank era this year is pretty damn wonderful

at the end of the day, my other heroes:

-are either old and still performing but not at the level they used to/haven’t put out quality music in a minute

or

-formed a new band that’s really good but ignores the best work they put out under their original, legendary band

frank is the highest on my all-time list that’s still in his prime and poised for a comeback for the ages… it could get very lit in here very soon

Idk the last time a headliner wasn’t streamed for Coachella. It’s equally a live streaming event as it is a music fest so they’ll probably do whatever they need to get Frank to agree to the show being streamed
