Him referring to Blonded as “post radio” is quite interesting. Reminds me of the conversation he had with Jay in 001 about the state and culture of pop radio. There really is no other platform like Blonded, it’s a hybrid of many different genres, post radio indeed.

The energy one is hard to listen to, but the Paul Stamets one is interesting just as the Wim Hoff one was.

He's really on an alternative medicine kick isn't he.

I remember in my darker days I went on that path as well. Just searching for an answer, a relief to the pain. Never truly found it there. But some people do, so more power to them.

on the real the man is going through it & has been going through it. i'mma let him get his s*** off honestly. seems like the best he can do for us is to keep the brand alive at all. i'd rather him do this than be down & out & giving us nothing.

    Frank invented interviews

I don’t think him just conducting interviews equates to Blonded being “post radio” but rather the combination of unpredictability, anticipation and freedom he generates. There’s no other radio show by an artist that has the following Blonded has - and no other show does s*** like this.

No one is utilizing the streaming era in a creative way like Frank Ocean and Kanye West. Plain and simple.

Couldn't be more obvious what he's trying to do with these conversations, having to spell it out seems exhausting. I think these were recorded in 2020/21 during the "early stages of grief" he mentioned on IG for the Xmas ep. He really didn't have to share any of this tbh, especially from someone as private as he is, but probably figured it might help someone in some capacity. Also this artist-fan dynamic rn is crazy and lowkey gross niggas said we don't care about any of that we just want music.
