somewhat related but mfs thinking frank was leftist in any way when bro is on record giving the most social democrat liberal takes, glazing obama and giving the most uninformed, elitist, long disproven and dumb takes on socialism etc
what are frank’s takes on socialism?

Would love to see Frank score a film further down the line
Luca G probably hit his line to no avail like a million times for the past 6 years, I feel like

Blonde is (very deservingly) nailed on as a cornerstone album of the 10s/21st century/musical lineage, honored to have been there
Said it in the other thread but the 2010s is probably the closest thing to the 70s in that they’re both heel turn moments in music history
very strong decade

We gotta relish the 2007-13 era as much as we can man. Music was out of the industry’s hands for the first time in years. Even after planted vine (and then the rest of the platforms) hits and streaming landed, the rest of the decade saw and enjoyed residual creative freedom that lingered in pop culture. I feel like 20-22 were super super strong in the underground/indie and pop, mixed bag for mainstream rap. 2023 was a weird year for music that kind of felt blue-balled in a hard to explain way. Maybe I just got too hopeful for the Jai Paul return

Yeah you could pull the time sliders back further but agreed….
Truly was a golden era in music where almost every avenue exploded + birthed even more sub-genres + innovation-to-impact was almost immediate. Positive feedback loop with culture and the zeitgeist that was authentic and free from any outside bs
In the 70s you could probably say something like that could come again. With the 2010s passing idk I feel like the internet has reached a point where it’s almost impossible for standalone music moments to happen (and be received) in the ways they’ve previously done. Music consumption right now doesn’t really allow for “monoculture” (this last part could/has been its own thread lool)

I’m sure he hit up dev hynes too
there will be a right time, especially because Luca is super prolific
