i would say it’s his best vocal performance ever, bar none. ive seen a lot of his performances from every era and dude has always had a problem with shakiness, bad technique and that messing with his control/pitch. at coachella he was basically f***ing perfect and sounded even BETTER than the recordings at times, like on at your best

the f***ing sped up vocal chop of Andre saying solo on the new live version that was a perfect little production detail almost Arca-esque

people are using all these " changes " to imagine a completely different set that was scrapped when in reality it was probably about the same with some ice skating

well now that i've heard the whole set. idk i feel like if the DJ set was at the beginning, and he actually sang Nikes and Nights i can understand being thrown off by the reinterpretations of songs but eh that's what the live environment is for

My review:

Sucks he threw a fit and broke his leg or whatever, dude needs to be more careful days before the biggest show of his life

Set had a weird flow but god damn his voice was immaculate and the re-arrangements were fantastic. Visuals were simple but awe-inspiring at the same time. Live band was fantastic.

Lip syncing Nikes and Nights was a disastrous decision, if he actually sang those songs literally all would have been forgiven

“Not that there’s not a new album” dude shut the F*** up. Very least you could do is either say you’re working on something orrr just say nothing at all. Teasing is not as mysterious as total silence. Your brand of mysterious is getting corny and annoying.

If he had the DJ set open and then came out and did all the slower numbers with an encore of Novacane, Nikes, Nights, etc… Would have been an all timer.

P**** s*** to cancel the second weekend and this set definitely tarnished his public image. I don’t think it was a disaster but definitely the first time he’s taken a public L.

His coachella set was absolutely unbelievable. I didnt watch it due to the backlash -- thought itd be a waste of time. What an amazing start to my morning
