Trust me I would love new music as well, however it was never hinted at or implied that this concert would feature new material from Frank or his team.

It’s been 7 years and at this point I’m not really expecting new music, especially after the reception of his performance

I think he means for his music career this can be a stain because a lot of people saw Frank as flawless who might now anymore.

fumbling your first musical appearance in 6-7 years in such a historic way is nuts. it can lead to many things but in this case he could grow to resent people even more and embolden his lack of care for his fans or he could get overzealous in an attempt to come back and drop some trash

This is exactly what I fear and suspect will result from this. There has been zero communication or apology from Frank regarding any of this, which to me says he feels no remorse about f***ing over paying fans and probably feels resentful towards the critics and backlash, instead of feeling the need to make up for it

He wasn't being cryptic at Coachella, he performed with a smile on his face, said he was having fun, that he missed his listeners, and that he enjoyed being out there again and he would see them soon, I don't think he'll feel like he has something to prove cause he's doing it for fun

like Ye and Gambino always fought for, you don't have to just stick to music, anyone (including you and me) is allowed to make anything whenever they want no matter what they made in the past, you can make music and then do fashion, TV, or jewellery, it's fine and not everything is made for everyone

the fans paid for a show and albeit not what Frank intended, he still played until curfew despite an injury and change in plans, its s***ty and annoying for people going to Weekend 2 but it's doctors orders

this isn't about him being such a God that no mortal deserves to hear from him, he's just a regular guy who like you and me who doesn't owe anyone an album or anything just because they released one in the past, it would be nice but the music industry doesnt stop because Frank Ocean didnt drop, Coachella will go on and great music would still be released without Frank Ocean in the fold (but he is working on an album)
