idk who these guys are but they’re very chill and mature. there’s still no explanation on why frank bailed on the concept. seems like it was going to be very special.
they hint that
-ankle
-some issue with Coachella management
-Ice not working or being set up properly
were all clear issues and that their other friend will be on podcast Monday to list the other issues
But they kind of list plenty of issues that came up. The pressure and the fact that what was supposed to be a dedication to his brother fell apart made him not want to be there anymore
the cognitive dissonance one must have to know we didn't get what was planned (far from), yet also believe what we did get should be immune to criticism, is wild

I just think the day finally came to do it and Frank had second thoughts and thought it wouldn't work well. I still feel like the Forrest Gump performance makes him unsure of himself when it comes to doing live shows. But idk
sounded like it was really his ankle that set the whole thing off from what they said
yup. ankle seemed like pr but these hockey dudes brought it up too and they seem very transparent. i actually just recovered from a nasty ankle sprain (shit was the size of an orange) and i was miserable so idk how serious franks was.

they didn’t mention the ice not working or pressure. who knows.. we’ll see what the friend says he seems to be the right hand man in all of it
yeah but everyone knows that's a lie
even if we're true no one gonna believe it without some xrays or some s*** lol
I don't think it's a lie, but the improvisation could have obviously gone more smoothly, weekend 2 coming soon

nah that was just the earpiece f***ing up, he went on two tours since that.

people don't want to hear it but that's now two people that have worked with him saying the passing of his brother has something to do with it

look at this video of Frank dancing and jumping (which people said showed he wasn't injured), he was purposely only using his right foot to jump which I think shows his left ankle was f***ed up

they did mention the ice not working when they talked about the ice stage being dismantled with the crowd there. Pressure not directly said but hinted at some what with Frank being upset with some skaters not taking it seriously
he was gonna do pretty sweet like that?
yoooooo
Yeah, they say they’d been rehearsing Pretty Sweet. They may give us the original setlist…

honestly man it could be the exact same damn show with all the same mishaps and bullshit but as long as we get a livestream that's a W for me personally

oh they more said they felt bad that a show clearly dedicated to his brother went like this and got him cooked. Because its tragic but it was 100% clear from the show that honoring his brother was on his mind. When we saw the alternate versions his brother loved. That is again why first half and dj set I loved personally.

ya ain’t no way he’s playing iceman, crack rock if not for his bro
I rather watch through some random person's livestream and get a different improved show than youtube with same set

There will always be brainwashed stans.
im serious lol. getting a quality recording of the live debut of Florida in stream quality along with all the other beautiful s*** he did

nothing is immune to criticism, what we would've got would've been awesome and what we did get with Frank being injured was awesome too
to be clear no one is saying he should be immune to criticism its just your criticism of "Frank Ocean show was dogshit worst show ever we waited 7 years for this . I hated it " over and over again is redundant and not some profound s*** you think it is

i get you but if there's no stream that will be a huge L. the tech exists to livestream it to absolutely no detriment to performer or present physical audience, and to refuse to do so when the festival itself will do it for you is literal pretension and elitism and those are words I don't use often. still, it would be cool to see what this performance was supposed to be either way
