CampariWhen he tried, he was sounding better than I’ve ever heard him before. For reference, I was front row at Wayhome in 2017 and he sounded immaculate last night.
Visuals were really pretty, I really need to know what camera they were using it looked cinematic.
Set list was definitely a tribute to his brother. Crack Rock, Iceman, Wiseman, White Ferrari all deal with loss (the first three very vividly).
I immediately thought of Andre 3000’s Coachella performance with the jumpsuit. He said the songs they were performing were old so he couldn’t say/do anything new therefore the messages allowed him to reinvent.
Frank brought something new to songs he made years and years ago but I’m not sure if this was the stage to do it? Coachella isn’t really a experimental festival, it’s the capital of flex and stripping down songs like Pink + White which went viral online, not even singing Nights, Nikes + not doing Lost is a big statement to that surge in popularity.
It was melancholic, bizarre, yet like everything he does oddly beautiful and unpredictable.

FloshYou’re right, expecting an artist that isn’t a legacy act to come with new music to arguably the biggest festival with his first live performance in 6 years is an unreasonable expectation as you’ve said 🫠.
Him saying an album is coming not soon doesn’t amount to much for me tbh lol, cause what does that even mean truly, if it’s to the point no new music was ready to be played after all this time?
Edit: and a lil strange? Nigga, Frank performances center around him standing or playing the piano while he sings. He doesn’t dance or anything, all he has to do is sing and he didn’t even do that the whole time lmao. He did not meet even the reasonable expectations
