I honestly can’t fathom a Blonde follow up like that is quite possibly THE album of the decade.
“Frank Ocean announces the follow up to Blonde, out _”
LP 5Released: TBA"...there is so so much I'm excited to share with all you strangers. Love." - Frank via IG Stories.

HDD reported the album is being previewed to labels (to quote: "sources are also saying the album is f***ing great.") Unlikely that Frank is looking to sign to any of them though, but is instead browsing deals (distribution?) for his next project to be released under.
+ Documentary in the works (?)Various ig posts/sightings of Frank through a handheld camcorder. Footage (studio/misc.) dates back from as early as 2018. All signs point to some sort of visual documentation/archiving of Frank's process over the last few years
+ PHILLY : Directorial Feature Film debut 🎥Distribution through A24 (see timeline below) or may be distributed independently. Taylor Russell in talks to star. Written and directed by Frank Ocean. Eric Roth's seal of approval (or at least confirmation of existence). Filmed in CDMX + ... ?.
+ String arranger / composer in Brazil.... Arthur Verocai? The project is described as a free-form, non-traditional narrative movie with real and surreal elements.
In a 2019 interview with W Magazine Frank mentioned:
I’m working with a string arranger right now in Rio, and every time we go back and forth, because I don’t put things on the Internet, I have to send a drive with someone to Rio, or I have to go myself.
With a description that vague it's pretty much impossible to guess who he was referring to, but with Tyler's recent work with composer Arthur Verocai for Louis Vuitton's FW22 show probably narrows it down to him due to their close proximity. Verocai has worked with DOOM, Madlib and most recently BADBADNOTGOOD.
+ Blake Mills appearance?Blake Mills, songwriter and guitarist, hinted at working with a "(notoriously) secretive" musician during the Summer of 2020 in an interview with the Washington Post.
+ Cory Henry on the keysHe is now one of the primary producers in a studio at ... Sound City, where ... he was working on an album by an artist so famously secretive he can’t talk about it at all.
In an IG story Frank stated he'd worked with Cory Henry (incredibly talented pianist and organist) during the summer of 2020 for the blonded radio 2021 Xmas show. Coincidentally, this was the around the same time Blake Mills had said he was working with that "famously secretive" artist in LA. Possibly multiple album studio sessions including both Henry and Mills occurred during this time frame.
Extras/miscellaneous:1. Art studio in Chinatown - no music playing but "Frank Ocean ... is often seen ducking in and out of the space during the week." Via Artnet, 2021
2. Additional potential collaborators
3. Sonics - based on the (sparse) list of potential collaborators above it's hard to predict exactly what this album is going to sound like as they could have anywhere between very minimal to very substantial contributions to the project. @KAYTRANADA guesses this might have a lot of soul/jazz/funk elements which makes sense taking a surface-level look at the who he's been rumored to have worked with. But it's Frank Ocean, so who knows.

Frank Ocean in talks to Direct first feature film with A24 + 2AM.
Frank Ocean is currently working with production company 2AM on his potential feature film, should it go ahead. The 2AM venture is backed by investing from A24, the studio where all of 2AM’s current projects are being distributed from. Project referred to as Philly internally.
If Frank Ocean is able to make availability within his schedule, the hope is to begin filming sometime this Fall and have production wrapped before the New Year arrives. Sources have said that Ocean has already eyed New Mexico as a potential location to film his feature directorial debut.

Frank Ocean announced as Coachella 2023 headliner.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival co-founder confirmed with the Times that Frank Ocean will return to Coachella as a headliner in 2023.

Im def renaming the freestyle that title so wack lmao
I honestly can’t fathom a Blonde follow up like that is quite possibly THE album of the decade.
“Frank Ocean announces the follow up to Blonde, out _”
its gonna be even better
the amount of talent Frank has, plus life experience, plus all of the producers he has access to
another masterpiece otw

If we get Look At Us, We’re In Love and it’s the club sound, it’s about to be scary for the maisntream genre. Frank can write a hit in his sleep if he wanted to. I’m all in for the Abel comparisons
I hate Frank so much thought I was over being thirsty SMH lol

I would agree but Channel Orange was a masterpiece and then he hit us with Blonde 4 years later. I can't WAIT to hear what he has up his sleeve all this time.

i dont think its gonna be club anymore. I think he knows the state of club isnt what it was once was (and even in 2019 Nyc club scene wasnt great)

I honestly think he will drop 2 projects again. A more mainstream oriented and then a more avant garde/emotional Blonde follow up to highlight his life.
Can’t see him pulling up to Coachella and playing an album that’s stripped down and dark.

i dont buy the coachella rumor tbh
hope ur right tho
seeing Weeknd drop and all the hype makes me long for Franks release day
same. but i feel the road is still long before frank next project

Don't think Frank will ever pander to the mainstream tbh which is why I fw his music so heavy. If he does (which I don't think he'd ever do) at the expense of the quality of the music then that would be pretty disappointing
But you're right, Slide 4X platinum off him alone and was huge summer 2017. A lane he could easily fill but probably finds little interest in

Not a rumor the source was coachella themselves (well their promoter) who did an interview w the LA Times explicitly confirming he'd play 2023 when outlining their plans for the next 2 years after covid f***ed up 2020 and 2021

Bruh both of genres of dance music and electronic are so diverse that Frank could just do tributes to each movement/sub-genre and it would slap. Weeknd is trying to be MJ exec produced by Daft Punk, Frank is Prince exec produced by Kanye.

Frank is above the mainstream, like Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan doesn’t get played on the radio as much as people who cover his songs and were influenced by him.
sonically I have 0 expectations for this album, he has like a million routes he could take so whatever I think he'll land on will probably end up being wrong. Like no one saw Endless and Blonde (endless especially I think that album is f***ing insane in terms of production alone) coming after CO.
s*** is very exciting though, salute to dude's versatility
think we’re getting 2 albums or one really big one.
a new darker one like “come on world, you can’t go” in 2022
and then “look at us, we’re in love” around coachella in 2023
but we’re prolly getting nothing ;)

i was expecting an album like Endless sonically back in 2016 but I wasnt expecting the songs to be that short lol
Blonde was a grower for sure

could be this year man
esp if hes gonna go coachella 2023
